Terms of Service
Last updated: Draft — not yet in force
Draft — pending company registration & legal review
This is a working template, not a binding agreement. Sections marked [in brackets] are placeholders to be completed once the operating entity is registered and the final text has been reviewed by a qualified lawyer. Do not rely on it as legal advice.
1. Who we are
Talock is a white-label online booking platform. Each salon or barbershop (“the Salon”) uses Talock to let its customers book appointments. The platform is operated by [legal entity name — pending registration], at [registered address] (“Talock”, “we”). These Terms govern your use of the booking app; your relationship for the service itself (the haircut, treatment, etc.) is with the Salon.
2. The service
Talock provides a per-salon, installable web app for discovering services, choosing a time and professional, and making, viewing, rescheduling or cancelling appointments. It also sends booking confirmations and reminders and, optionally, collects reviews. Availability, prices, staff and policies are set by the Salon; Talock displays them but does not provide the salon service itself.
3. Bookings, changes & cancellations
- A booking is a request to reserve time with the Salon and is confirmed on submission.
- You can view, reschedule or cancel a booking from “My bookings” subject to the Salon’s notice window [minimum cancellation notice].
- Late cancellation or no-show terms, and any deposit or cancellation fee, are set by the Salon: [cancellation / no-show policy].
- Group bookings may be subject to prepayment where the Salon enables it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- make bookings you do not intend to honour, or use false contact details;
- abuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the service;
- use the service unlawfully or to harass Salon staff or other customers.
We may suspend access that breaches these Terms. The Salon may decline or cancel a booking under its own policies.
5. Reviews & content
If you submit a review, you grant the Salon and Talock permission to display it in connection with the booking. Reviews must be your genuine experience and must not be unlawful or defamatory. The Salon may hide reviews under its published policy.
6. Liability
The booking platform is provided “as is”. Talock is not a party to the service you book and is not responsible for the quality, safety or outcome of the Salon’s services. To the extent permitted by law, Talock’s liability for the platform is limited as set out here: [liability cap / exclusions]. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Privacy
Your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By making a booking you confirm you have read it.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves or as required by law. The current version is always available at this page, with the “last updated” date above.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by [governing law — jurisdiction to be confirmed], and disputes are subject to [competent courts], without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms: [support email]. Questions about a specific appointment should go to the Salon you booked with.
